Around the Alberta Neighborhood

Tin Shed

The most popular breakfast joint in Portland is miraculously located across the street. We can personally attest that everything on the menu is fantastic!

Bamboo Sushi

When my favorite sushi restaurant opened next door to us, I thought this is a sign! These guys take sushi & sustainability to the next level. Walk next door, for an excellent meal, you will be well satiated!

Case Study Coffee

This amazing spot couldn't be closer, it's across the street, and has artfully prepared coffees & sweets. They roast their own coffee, offer locally made sweets and do it all with style.

We love this place, hand made pasta at it's best! The staff is friendly, menu limited but delicious. There is both indoor seating and an outdoor courtyard.

If you are looking for affordable, independent, local designs look no further! This shop is so fun and will have an adorable unique item for your Portland mementos.

Guardino Gallery

One of the longest run galleries on Alberta Street. They always have wonderful monthly shows and a large section of curated art and jewelry.

Around the Mississippi Neighborhood

Por Que No

If you are looking for fantastic margaritas, delicious tacos and a relaxed environment. Then head on over to our friends at Por Que No. The restaurant is small, and almost always crowded, so go early.

Kayo's Ramen

Kayo's Ramen is a mouth watering authentic ramen restaurant on the adorable N Willams Ave. They make the broths in-house daily using only the finest ingredients. It gets crowded and they don't take reservations, so head early for a spot.

Albina Press

Located next door, so your caffeine is within crawling distance, Albina Press is a perfect place for a morning latte and baked goods. They have a revolving art display, which is typically fantastic.

Local breweries go hand in hand with Portland's creative scene. A large patio, and delicious beer make this spot a wonderful way to enjoy Mississippi District.

Paxton Gate

This is the kind of shop you walk into and can spend hours milling about looking at all of the curiosities from stuffed birds to rear fossils. Kids and adults alike will appreciate this unique find.

Land PDX

If you are looking for a cute Portland memento in the form of a poster, card, t-shirt then pop in. Upstairs hosts an art exhibit and the main floor has tons of beautiful items from over 100 artists.
