Alberta St. – perfect and convenient

Alberta Whole House:
My large family and I recently stayed at Shift for three nights before heading out to my son’s wedding in Hood River. I chose this wonderful house because I wanted to experience Portland and being on NE Alberta St was perfect. The location allowed for an easy commute from the airport as well as 84 East. Being on a main street was so much fun with the excitement of the people. There were restaurants, coffee shops, interesting edgy stores all around. We even took a metro bus one day from 15th street to the pioneer courthouse area downtown to do a hop on / hop off bus tour of the city. It was so easy and we didn’t have to uber or go on a train. so convenient! The house itself has two different entrances for separate dwellings. We got both and put the younger couples downstairs so they had their own place. We older couples took the upstairs. Everyone loved that. Michelle and Klaas shared their labor of love in photo albums so we got a feel for the history of the house and their story. We felt so comfortable. The house is decorated in a bike theme and was very creative. We had plenty of space, linens, and towels. The top floor bedroom and spacious bathroom are THE best so grab them if you share with others. Michelle was very understanding when our flight was changed to arrive earlier than expected. She graciously allowed us to settle in earlier than the check-in time. Overnight parking is allowed on the side streets and was never a problem, Short-term parking was easy on Alberta St. I would definitely recommend Shift and if I’m ever fortunate to visit Portland again I would stay there again. Thank you, Michelle and Klaas,
